Falcons Recognized as One of Top Programs in Nation

The Bowling Green State University women's basketball program has been recognized yet again as one of the top programs in all of NCAA Division I. The Falcons were ranked No. 32 on Swish Appeal's list of Top 100 Programs in Division I Women's College Basketball.
The Falcons were the fifth-highest mid-major program listed, trailing only Middle Tennessee State (No. 15), Xavier (No. 18), Temple (No. 26) and Gonzaga (No. 31) in that department. Overall, Connecticut topped the list, followed by Tennessee and Duke. Stanford and Oklahoma rounded out the top five.

Head coach Curt Miller and the Falcons return 10 letterwinners, including three starters, from last year's team. The 2009-10 edition of the Brown and Orange went 27-7 overall and 14-2 in Mid-American Conference play. BGSU won the MAC's regular-season title for a sixth consecutive season, and the Falcons also won the MAC Tournament crown and advanced to the NCAA Championships.
