A native of Mentor, Ohio (Mentor H.S.), Zuccaro was one of just three players to start all 20 matches for the Falcons in 2011. She led the team in scoring, both overall and in conference matches.
Zuccaro, the 2011 team captain, had 10 points on the year. Her five goals in 2011 included a two-goal game at Buffalo in the MAC opener on Sept. 23. In that match, 'Z' scored the tying goal midway through the second half, then netted the winner with only 1:03 remaining in the second half.
Zuccaro also scored goals against Niagara (Sept. 4), Youngstown State (Sept. 11) and Eastern Michigan (Oct. 7) in 2011. She played a total of 1,772 minutes on the season, ranking third among BGSU's field players, and was on the field for at least 84 minutes in 19 of BG's 20 matches.
Originally a walk-on to the BGSU program, Zuccaro was named the Falcons' Offensive MVP in each of her first three seasons. She finished her career with a total of 50 points on 20 goals and 10 assists under head coach Andy Richards. Zuccaro is tied for third in school history in goals, and ranks sixth all-time on the BG career points list.
The All-MAC Teams and specialty awards are the results of voting by the league's 12 head coaches. The complete list of awards is attached, and can be found at the top of the page.
