QUICK HITS
• The Falcons are looking to extend a four-game winning streak ... after starting the season with losses to Dayton and Purdue, BGSU has posted victories over Evansville, Detroit, Western Kentucky and Butler ... three of the four wins – all but the UDM contest – came at BG's brand-new Stroh Center.
• The number four is a recurring theme in this game's 'quick hits' ... in addition to a four-game overall win streak, BGSU is looking to extend a four-game winning streak against Youngstown State ... the Falcons have averaged 84.0 points per game in those four wins ... YSU's last series victory came at the Beeghly Center in November of 2003.
• The Falcons are in the midst of a stretch in which the team plays four games in nine days ... the YSU game, the second in that sequence, is one of four road games the team will play during the month of December.
• Senior Jessica Slagle scored a career-high 15 points as the Falcons posted a 71-61 win over Butler on Saturday (Dec. 3) at the Stroh Center ... Slagle's previous career scoring best was 13 points, amassed in a home win over Central Michigan last season (Jan. 22, 2011).
• Slagle teamed with redshirt sophomore Alexis Rogers to key a second-half run vs. Butler ... after BU had cut the Falcons' lead to five points at halftime, the duo combined for all of BG's points in a 10-1 run to begin the second half, increasing the home team's advantage to 14.
• Rogers had 14 points in the win, setting a season high and tying her career best ... Rogers, a transfer from Duke University, scored 14 points for the Blue Devils in a win over Houston Baptist two years ago (Nov. 13, 2009).
• Rogers led the Falcons with eight rebounds, as BGSU had a 37-27 advantage on the boards vs. BU ... it marked the first time in six games this season that BG outrebounded the opponent ... the Falcons pulled down 25 second-half rebounds to Butler's 10.
• Junior Chrissy Steffen had 15 points vs. BU to tie for game honors ... Steffen hit a game-high three three-point field goals in the win ... after going 0-of-8 from long distance in the first three games of the season, Steffen has made 10-of-20 triples over the last three contests.
• The Falcons had 15 steals against Butler, marking the fourth time BGSU posted a double-digit steal total in six games this season to date.
• BG had at least 12 steals in each of those four games ... last year, the Falcons had as many as 12 steals in a game just once.
• Steffen is the lone returning starter from a year ago ... in fact, she was the only player on the BGSU roster to have started even one collegiate game prior to the 2011-12 season opener at Dayton.
