Gymnastics Training Update (Sept.)

The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team is in the midst of preseason training, with just over three months until the team's first meet in January. Take a look inside the gym as the Falcons train new skills and start putting together routines for the 2013 season.
The Orange and Brown lost only one gymnast from last year's squad, Dawn Christman, and welcomes three new freshman athletes to the team - Alyssa Nocella, Katrina Carpenter and Caroline Ellingboe. Notable returners include 2012 NCAA Regional qualifiers Gina Locigno, Danielle Wishart, Megan Harrington and Jamilah Ali. Ali was also named Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year last season, only the third BGSU gymnast in history to earn the honor.
The Falcons will host five meets in Anderson Arena this season, including the season opener against Ohio State on Jan 5. Also traveling to Bowling Green are Texas Woman's University, Kent State, Eastern Michigan and Ball State (tri-meet), and Western Michigan.
