Happy Valentini! Sophomore Named MAC Specialist of the Week

Just hours before the start of Valentine's Day, Megan Valentini was named Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week. The announcement was made by the conference office on Monday afternoon and is voted on by the coaches.
Specialist of the Week is given to a gymnast that competes in up to two events in a single meet. Valentini's spent the weekend on balance beam and the floor exercise.
The sophomore scored a career-best 9.750 on beam, finishing first among the 12 gymnasts that included six from Northern Illinois. She added a 9.775 on floor to finish sixth, helping the Falcons to a season-high, 193.975.
Valentini, along with the rest of the Falcon squad, will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m.
