Falcons Complete Two Meets

Findlay Open Results
The Bowling Green State University track and field team competed in the Meyo Invitational and Findlay Open on Friday night.
BGSU's Abby Koch was the lone Falcon to compete at Notre Dame in the Meyo Invitational, finishing 22nd in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:31.16, the fastest time at BGSU since 2008.
In Findlay, the Falcons came away with four first-place finishes and a handful of other impressive marks, beginning with the jumps. Emily Gerkin captured the high jump with a height of 5-01, while Janelle Campbell did the same in the long jump with a distance of 17-04.75.
Allison Weimer continued her strong performance in the 600 meters, finishing first with a time of 1:37.42, her second-straight victory in as many weeks.
Allorian Horne finished second in the 60 and 200 meters with times of 8.00 and 25.85. Horne combined with Jeanette Pettigrew, Felicia Jefferson and Weimer to win the 4x400 with a time of 4:07.30.
Bowling Green returns to action next Friday (Feb. 10) as they travel to Akron, Ohio to compete in the Akron Invitational.
