Falcons Tune-Up For MAC Championships With Trip to Akron

The Bowling Green State University track and field team will compete in the Akron Invitational this weekend (Feb. 10-11) as they prepare for the MC Championships on Feb. 25-26, also in Akron, Ohio. Field and running events start at 10 a.m.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth (ages 3-14). All fans should enter through the UA student recreation center main entrance.
BGSU has eight first-place finishes over the past two weeks, led by Emily Gerkin, who captured the high jump crown in the Tom Wright Classic and Findlay Open. In those same two meets, Allison Weimer nearly broke the school record twice in the 600 meters, capturing a pair of individual victories.
Following the Akron Invitational the Falcons will not compete again until the MAC Championships on Feb. 25-26.
