The Bowling Green State University men's golf team carded a 596 after 36 holes and sits in second-place among the 11-team field in the Triumph at Pauma Valley Invitational. San Francisco leads the tournament with a 575.
Parker Hewitt is currently tied for fourth after carding a 147 (72-75) through 36 holes. Bowling Green's Wes Gates is eighth (77-72 -- 149), Charlie Olson (71-82 -- 153) and Drew Preston (80-73 -- 153) are tied for 22nd and Chris Melvin is tied for 35th (80-76 -- 156).
Joe Cooper competed as an individual and currently sits in a tie for 47th after shooting 160 (78-82).
The third and final round will begin on Tuesday morning.
