Falcons Have Mountain To Climb At MAC Championships

FISHERS, Ind. -- The Bowling Green State University women's golf team completed the first day of the 2012 Mid-American Conference Championships in ninth place after shooting a 336 on Friday (April 27). The 54-hole tournament is being held in at the Hawthorns Golf and Country Club.
Freshman Shelby Wilson led all Falcon golfers with an 82. Kelsey Benson, playing in her first MAC Championships, carded an 83 to place second among the five BGSU players.
The second round begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday (April 28) with staggered tee times from the first hole. BGSU players will be among the final five groups to tee off, and they will play with Northern Illinois and Ohio.
