Elliott signs NLI and will attend BGSU this fall
Bowling Green State University interim women's soccer coach Kellie Evans has announced the addition of one student-athlete to the program's list of signees. Alexandra (Alex) Elliott has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Falcons this fall.

Elliott, a midfielder, is a native of Blacklick, Ohio, was a four-year starter at St. Francis DeSales H.S. She led the Stallions in goals as both a junior and a senior, and finished her DeSales career with a total of 35 goals. Elliott scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 2011 Division II state semifinals, then notched the clinching goal in the state championship match. DeSales won both of those games by 2-0 scores. Elliott, a two-time All-Central Catholic League selection, was named to the all-district second team. She is currently in residency at the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where she enrolled in January. Elliott also has played with club teams Blast FC and Ohio Premier, and she has six years of Olympic Development Program (ODP) experience.
“Alex is a great addition who will give us added depth in the central midfield position right away,” said Evans. “She is an intelligent player with the work rate and toughness we look for in our central players. She strikes the ball well and has scored some big goals in her career.
“Her current environment at IMG continues to develop her technical and tactical abilities while building on her winning mentality, which will only help our team. We are excited to have Alex join the Falcon family.”
The addition of Elliott brings the total number of signees in this year's recruiting class to nine.
