Bowling Green State University women's basketball coach Jennifer Roos has announced that Monique Rosati will remain the program's Director of Operations. Rosati enters her sixth season in the position.
“I am thrilled to have Monique remain as a member of the Bowling Green women's basketball family,” said Roos. “Throughout her tenure, she has been extremely instrumental in our continued success in the classroom and on the court. She and her husband have become fixtures in this community and their commitment to BGSU is unwavering.”
As part of the Falcon women's basketball staff, Rosati has helped the program win at least one Mid-American Conference title in each of her first five seasons.
Rosati performs a veritable plethora of day-to-day duties for the program. Those duties include handling all film exchange for the program, assisting the coaching staff with team travel, academic coordination and daily operations within the basketball office.
In addition to winning the aforementioned MAC titles, BGSU has advanced to national postseason play in each of Rosati's five years with the program, averaging nearly 27 wins per season. Since her arrival in Northwest Ohio in August of 2007, the Falcons have posted an overall record of 134-32 (80.7%) and a 69-11 mark (86.3%) in MAC regular-season games.
BGSU played national postseason tournament games at Anderson Arena in each of her first two seasons – beating Dayton in the 2008 WNIT, and facing Syracuse and Indiana in that tourney at 'The House That Roars' in 2009 – and made trips to the NCAA Championships in both 2010 and '11. The Falcons earned the MAC's automatic bid to the WNIT in 2012, hosting a first-round game at the Stroh Center.
Rosati, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., served as a manager for the women's basketball team at Syracuse University from 1994-2001, where she worked with former BGSU head coach Curt Miller. Miller was an assistant coach at Syracuse during the 1994-98 seasons. Rosati was named the head manager in 1996 and was responsible for tasks pertaining to statistics, video coordination, and public appearances while working towards the completion of a dual undergraduate program in International Relations and Spanish.
Rosati continued her tenure with the Orange's staff as she pursued a master's degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
Rosati also has served as the historian and administrative assistant for McNabb Unlimited where she digitally archives all media coverage for fellow Syracuse graduate and NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb. Her efforts also extend to The Donovan McNabb Foundation, which creates awareness and raises money to fight diabetes.
In December of 2010, Rosati earned her MBA degree with an Accounting specialization at BGSU.
Rosati's husband, Clayton, a fellow Syracuse alum, is an assistant professor in BGSU's School of Media and Communication. The couple resides in Bowling Green.
