Lesley Irvine Named To Division I Men’s Soccer Committee
June 18, 2012 | General

“I am honored to represent BGSU and the Mid-American Conference at the national level,” Irvine said. “This will be my second experience on an NCAA Championship committee and I am looking forward to my involvement with men's soccer in this capacity.”
The purpose of the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Committee is to develop policies and procedures governing the administration and conduct of the men's soccer championship. The committee consists of 10 members, three of which are new this year. Irvine will join Coastal Carolina Senior Associate Director of Athletics Bruce Gregory and Dartmouth Senior Associate Director of Athletics Drew Galbraith as first-year members.
Irvine started at BGSU in July of 2010 and is responsible for the overall administration of the coaches and student-athletes for eight programs at Bowling Green (men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, baseball, softball, swimming, and volleyball) as well as overseeing the sports medicine, sport performance, and strength and conditioning programs. She directs all MAC Championships and postseason events hosted by BGSU, including overseeing the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament First and Second Round held at the Stroh Center in 2012. She also serves as the department's Title IX coordinator and monitors and evaluates progress towards the gender equity and minority opportunities plans.
Prior to her time at Bowling Green, Irvine was the Head Field Hockey Coach at Stanford for seven years. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alliance of Women's Coaches.
