Falcon Club Spotlight: Dale Carlson

Each month, the BGSU Department of Athletics highlights a Falcon Club member, providing an opportunity to get to know them. For June, Dale Carlson has been selected. Dale, a BGSU baseball letterwinner, is the owner of Falcon Sales, named after the Bowling Green nickname, and an inspirational two-time leukemia survivor. One of Dale's life goals is to have everyone register to be a bone marrow donor. Those interested, can go to marrow.org to learn how you can be a life savior.

Childhood Ambition: To be the first to play professional hockey and baseball in the same year
Fondest Memory of BGSU Athletics: Beating Michigan State in hoops in 1990. Beating Fresno State in the California Raisin Bowl. Going 3-for-3 in my first baseball game as a Falcon against Eastern Kentucky

Proudest Moment: My kids being born
Biggest Challenge: Beating leukemia twice -- once in 2005 and again in 2006
The Perfect Day: Any Friday in March here in Arizona going to a spring training baseball game
First Job: National Sporting Goods Association, selling trade show space.

Supporting the Falcon Club is important to me because: Hopefully one day we will see our Falcons competing on the national stage for an NCAA title. It will happen!!
