Women's Soccer Falcons Preparing for 2012 Season

The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team is preparing for the 2012 season. Interim head coach Kellie Evans, assistant coach Bubby Leasure and the Falcons are in the midst of preseason practices as the team's lone exhibition match rapidly approaches.

Evans and Leasure welcome back a total of 19 letterwinners, including eight starters, from last year's team. The 2012 roster features a total of 28 players, including nine newcomers.
The roster also includes four seniors, including fifth-year seniors Becca Ison and Leah Johnson and fourth-year Falcons Emily Rothwell and Sarah VonderBrink.
The Falcons' lone scrimmage is Saturday (Aug. 11), as Indiana State comes to Cochrane Field for a noon match. The following weekend will see the Brown and Orange take the pitch twice, with the regular-season opener set to be played under the lights at Cochrane. The Falcons will face Michigan State on Friday, Aug. 17, in a 7:00 p.m. start, then will meet Cleveland State two days later (Sunday, Aug. 19), with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.
