The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished 13th at the Mary Fossum Invitational, hosted by Michigan State. The Falcons finished the 54-hole event with a team score of 942 (311-311-320).
Five teams from the Mid-American Conference were represented in the field. BGSU finished 14 shots behind Kent State, 11 shots off of Eastern Michigan and two shots behind the Rockets of Toledo. The Falcons finished 24 shots ahead of Western Michigan.
Individually, the Falcons were led by junior Bailey Arnold, who finished in a tie for 39th with a score of 235. The junior carded a 77 on Sunday afternoon, to go along with an 81-77 on Saturday.
Shelby Wilson and Hannah Lewis tied for 50th with totals of 237. Wilson shot 74-81-82, while Lewis carded an 80-76-81.
Also competing for the Falcons were Lily Bartell (82-79-80--241) and Amy Ruthenberg (76-79-90--245) to finish in a tie for 64th and 74th.
Up next for the Falcons is the Cleveland State Invitational, set to begin on Sept. 24.
