Baseball Holds Super Bowl Raffle

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - On Friday (Jan. 11) afternoon, the Bowling Green State University baseball team held their annual Super Bowl Raffle ticket drawing. With over 1,000 tickets sold, 25 prizes were drawn. Prizes included BGSU baseball gear, cash, and BGSU tickets. The grand prize winners are listed below:
1st prize: $1,500 CASH and a $40 DiBenedetto's gift certificate // WON BY: Bob Stites (Sold by: Ethan McKenney)
2nd prize: FOUR Detroit Tigers tickets and $50 CASH // WON BY: Eric Moraw (Alumnus)
3rd prize: FOUR Cincinnati Reds tickets and $50 CASH // WON BY: Maria Grzincic (Sold by: Patrick Lancaster)
4th prize: FOUR Cleveland Indians tickets and $50 CASH // WON BY: Sean Loconsole (Sold by: Aaron Loconsole)
5th prize: FOUR Toledo MudHens tickets and $25 CASH // WON BY: Ed Phillips (alumnus)
6th prize: FOUR Toledo Walleye tickets and $20 CASH // WON BY: Amy Glanzman (Sold by: Nick Glanzman)
"On behalf of the BGSU baseball program, we would like to thank all of the players for selling the tickets, and the family, friends, donors, and alumni who help make this event possible," head coach Danny Schmitz stated. "All of the money goes back into the program, and this year will help supplement the cost of a new brown mesh uniform, bench jackets, and batting practice jackets."
He continued, "We would also like to thank BGSU equipment managers Brian Daniels and Scott Jess, as well as BGSU's Director of Ticket Operations Joe Buono and all of the organizations that donated tickets and prizes. We could not have put on this event without them."
