Softball Announces 2014 Schedule

The Falcons will play in four pre-conference tournaments before returning home to Meserve Field on March 28.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University softball team announced its 2014 schedule Tuesday (Oct. 1), playing a heavy number of games away from Meserve Field to start the season. The Falcons will compete in four pre-conference tournaments at the beginning of the year, and are scheduled to play in 21 road games before taking on Western Michigan University in a doubleheader (March 28) on their home field.
Bowling Green will open the season with a four-game set in the Panther Invitational Tournament, playing on Feb. 15-16. The Falcons are right back at it the following week (Feb. 21-23), competing in five contests in Oxford, Miss.The team will then head to Orlando, FL. to play in the UCF Knights Spring Fling (March 7-9), where they will play another five contests, followed by non-conference affairs with the University of North Florida and the University of Michigan.
Bowling Green's final pre-conference tournament will be held in Baltimore, MD. from March 7-9, with four opponents set to play the Falcons, before finally returning home for a six-game home stand.
The Falcons will play three other non-conference doubleheaders this season, which all will be played at Meserve Field against Wright State (April 2), North Dakota State (April 7) and Detroit (April 16). Bowling Green will also play one more one road non-conference doubleheader against IPFW on April 23.
The Orange and Brown welcome MAC foes Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan and Toledo to Meserve Field this season, after going 7-9 at home in 2013.
