BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. -- Bowling Green State University head softball coach Shannon Salsburg has announced that six student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for Bowling Green. "We are very excited to add such quality players to our softball family," said softball head coach Shannon Salsburg. "We are very pleased to secure hard working players who are committed to the program. I believe this group will bring toughness to the Falcon family and will have a chance to do something special offensively."
Morgan Evangelista | Elk Grove, Calif.
Summer Team: Lady Magic 18 Gold
Catcher, Corner
Â
Morgan Evangelista (Elk Grove, California) has committed to the Bowling Green State University softball program. Evangelista played for the Lady Magic 18 Gold team this past summer, and is expected to play catcher as well as the corner infield positions for the Falcons.
"We are excited to add Morgan to our 2014 class. Morgan has a ton of upside as she is an outstanding catcher with the potential to be a big offensive threat for us. I believe Morgan's best trait is her softball IQ. Morgan lives for the game and it is evident the moment you talk to her. There is no doubt Morgan will continue to grow at BG and we are very happy to have her on our team."
Alivia Forshey | Canton, Ohio
Summer Team: Ohio Pumas
Middle Infield
Â
Alivia Forshey (Canton, Ohio) has signed her National Letter of Intent with the Bowling Green State University softball program. Forshey was a member of the Ohio Pumas in the summer of 2013, where she played middle infield during her time with the Pumas.
"Livi came to our camp this fall and the first thing you notice is her smile. It never goes away when she is on the field. Her love of the game was the first thing I noticed about her and as I watched her further, I saw a strong skill set with tremendous upside. I look forward to watching Livi grow here at BG and could not be happier that she is joining us."

Summer Team: Cincy Doom Gold
Middle Infield, Outfield
Â

"Kayla is a great addition to our team.  She is a lefty slapper who can also swing away. Kayla will be a table setter for us utilizing her ability to hit and use the short game to put pressure on the defense. We look forward to watching Kayla continue to grow into the offensive weapon we believe she can become."

Â
"I first saw Katee play at a tournament in Chattanooga, TN. She made an amazing diving stop in the hole at shortstop. I was walking past the field and turned right around to watch Katee and her team play. As we have watched her more, we have found our initial evaluation remains. Katee is a fierce competitor who will do whatever her team needs to win. We can't wait to see how Katee grows as a player and we are thrilled to add her to our softball family."
