Fillis, Falcons Enjoy Friday Success at Super Challenge

FRIDAY'S RESULTS: Singles | Doubles
No team scores are being kept at the tourney, which includes BGSU, WMU, Colorado, Indiana, Louisville, Marquette and Notre Dame.
Sophomore Drew Fillis captured a pair of victories in day-one action. In singles play, she downed Marquette's Hernandez, winning both sets in tiebreakers.
Senior Nikki Chiricosta also captured a pair of sets that went to tiebreakers, en route to a victory over Notre Dame's Closs.
In doubles play, the team of Fillis and senior Emily Reuland downed a Marquette duo by a 6-1 score, then lost in a 'breaker to a Notre Dame team.
The Falcons will be back in action on Saturday (Nov. 9), with play scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Competitors are slated to play two rounds of doubles and one round of singles in Saturday action.
