Imholz And Fulk Sweep Weekly MAC Awards

Cleveland, Ohio -- After a sweep of Dayton this past weekend, the Mid-American Conference honored two Falcons with player and pitcher of the week awards. Senior Hannah Fulk led the Falcons with a .600 batting average over the weekend, helping Bowling Green earn back-to-back wins against Dayton. Fulk also led the Falcons with three runs scored and a 1.200 slugging percentage. Fulk added a home run and two RBI, while also drawing three walks.
Sophomore Paris Imholz continues to dominate on the mound for Bowling Green, helping the Falcons earn a sweep over Dayton this past weekend. Imholz pitched her fourth complete game of the season in game one, earning her third complete game shutout of the season. Imholz held the Flyers scoreless on five hits, striking out five to improve her record to 7-1 on the season. Imholz came in and earned the save in game two, holding Dayton to two hits and zero runs in the final 1.2 innings. Imholz's save marked the ninth of her career, setting the Bowling Green all-time record.

Taylor Cox, Ball State, 2B

Taylor Cox continued to shine from the leadoff spot in the Ball State offense, going a combined 5-for-9 in the Cardinals two games last week versus top 30 opponents … In BSU's opener versus Wisconsin, which received votes in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, Cox led the Cardinals with three hits (3-for-5), while scoring a pair of runs … She would go on to top that performance later in the day by driving in what proved to be the game-winning run in the Cardinals' 3-1 victory over No. 24 North Carolina with a RBI double in the second inning … She also scored the first run of the contest after leading off the game with a single, and finished the outing 2-for-4.
MAC West Pitcher of the Week
Nicole Steinbach, Ball State, P
Freshman, Merrillville, Ind./Andrean
Turned in one of the best outings of her young career in picking up the win over No. 24 North Carolina … In leading the Cardinals to the victory, Steinbach limited the Tar Heels to just six hits and one earned run over 7.0 innings of work … She also struck out three batters while issuing just one walk … Earlier in the day, Steinbach threw two innings against Wisconsin, which moved to 21-3 with its win over BSU and also received votes in the latest national poll … She limited the Badgers to four hits and two earned runs, while recording a strikeout.
