Men’s Golf Scheduled For Busy Week
April 10, 2013 | Men's Golf
The Bowling Green State University men's golf team will compete in a pair of golf tournaments over the next week, beginning with the Detroit Golf Club Invitational on Friday (April 12), followed by the Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational on Monday (April 15-16).
The format for the tournament in Detroit will feature a different format than normal, featuring a setup that allows six golfers to play, counting the top five scores. Normally, teams compete with five and count four.
The one day, 36-hole event, will begin at 8 a.m., featuring the following teams: Bowling Green, Dayton, Eastern Michigan, Michigan, Toledo and Xavier.
On Monday the Falcons will travel to the former stomping of current BGSU head coach Kevin Farrell. Farrell was the men's coach at “The Mount” for three seasons (2010-12) and was named the 2012 Northeast Conference Coach of the Year after leading Mount St. Mary's to an NCAA Regional appearance.
The tournament will be held at Quail Valley Golf Course.
