Savannah had an incredible week for Ohio Softball, pitching 10.2 nearly perfect innings while collecting one win and one save. The freshman did not allow a single run during her time on the mound, nor did she concede a single walk. Dorsey threw a complete-game, three-hit shutout in a 6-0 win over Toledo on Friday before throwing two scoreless innings at Bowing Green on Saturday, earning the first save of her career. She followed this up with 1.2 innings of excellent relief work at Bowling Green on Sunday, during which she allowed just one hit while striking out two...Dorsey's command was impeccable, as she struck out 13 batters on the weekend while amassing a WHIP of 0.37.

Taylor Rager, Ball State, 1B

Taylor Rager helped guide the Ball State softball team to a 5-1 record last weekend, including a 4-0 mark in Mid-American Conference play, by leading the team with a .526 batting average and a 1.053 slugging percentage … She belted three home runs over the six games, while adding seven RBI and scoring five runs … She drew four walks and striking out just once … She also led the Ball State defense with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, with 52 put outs and two assists in 54 changes … Rager drove in the game-winning run in Saturday's victory over Western Michigan with a two-run single up the middle in the first inning … With her effort at the plate over the week, Rager raised her season batting average from .407 to .429.
Cory Delamielleure, Central Michigan, C

Junior Cory DeLamielleure hit .444 this week in six games. Six of DeLamielleure's eight hits this week were for extra bases, including two homeruns. She had a team-high three triples, and completed a series-cycle against Detroit on Wednesday, April 3. DeLamielleure accounted for a single, a double, two triples, and a homerun in the double header against the Titans. Her second homerun of the week came against Kent State on Saturday, April 6, in a 0-0 ballgame. DeLamielleure went long over the left field fence to put Central Michigan up 2-0 over the Flashes in the third inning. The Chippewas would go on to win the game 3-0. At the end of the six games this week, she had six runs, seven RBIs and 21 total bases.

Kara Dornbos, Central Michigan, P

Senior Kara Dornbos pitched three complete games this week and 7.1 innings of relief against Kent State on Sunday, April 7, giving up a total of three runs. She has moved into sixth all-time in Central Michigan history with 58 career compete games. After a shutout, three-hit performance against Kent State on Saturday, April 6, Dornbos is up to three shutouts in six wins this season. Her six strikeouts against the Flashes on Saturday was a new season-high, bringing her total to 39, 12 this week. Her only earned run allowed came against Buffalo on April 5. Dornbos had an ERA of .250 in 21.1 innings this week, brining her season ERA to 1.88.
