Two Falcons Earn Academic All-MAC

Cleveland, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the 2013 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC Team today, as voted by the faculty athletic representatives from the member MAC institutions. Bowling Green saw two gymnasts named to the team: junior Megan Harrington and sophomore Amanda Lievendag.
Harrington, an All-MAC Second Team member, competed as the team's top all-around gymnast, scoring above 39.0 three times during the year. A double major in communications and event planning, Harrington boasts a 3.793 grade-point average. Recently, she was voted the team's most valuable gymnast for 2013.
Lievendag was a standout on uneven bars and vault for the Falcons, earning MAC Specialist of the Week honors once during the season. Her career high of 9.875 is the fifth-highest bars score in BGSU history. Currently undecided on a major, Lievendag holds a GPA of 3.320.
In addition to Harrington and Lievendag, Lindsay Koch, Sunny Marchand and Megan Valentini earned honorable mentions.
