Five Falcons Honored For Academics By NACGC/W

Bowling Green, Ohio – Five Bowling Green gymnasts were recognized by the National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches for Women as NACGC/W Scholastic All-Americans. Student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher to be honored.
Monica Eaton (3.50 GPA in criminal justice), Caroline Ellingboe (3.90 GPA in pre-graphic design), Megan Harrington (3.53 GPA in tourism, leisure and event planning), Sunny Marchand (3.63 GPA in exercise science) and Alyssa Nocella (3.77 GPA in pre-exercise science) were part of 525 student-athletes recognized by the organization.
Eaton earned the honor for the fourth time, while Harrington was named for the third year.
The BGSU gymnastics team placed fifth at the Mid-American Conference Championship in 2013 and had two individual conference champions, including Nocella, who won the balance beam as a freshman. Following the meet, head coach Kerrie Turner was named MAC Coach of the Year.
