Burke, Arnold Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey student-athlete Tommy Burke and track and field student-athlete Alicia Arnold.
Male Athlete of the Week
Tommy Burke, a sophomore from Chaska, Minn., stopped 47-of-48 shots for a .979 save percentage as Bowling Green picked up a win and a tie against Alaska over the weekend. Burke blanked the Nanooks on eight power-play chances and had three saves in overtime Saturday as BGSU won 3-0 and tied 1-1.
Female Athlete of the Week
Alicia Arnold, a sophomore from Lorain, Ohio, posted a time of 24.80 seconds (converted to 24.42 seconds) to win the 200 at the BG Opener Saturday. It is the third-fastest time in BGSU history and places her 18th in the country at this point in the season. Arnold also surpassed the MAC Automatic Qualifying time with her effort.
