Complete 2013 Academic All-MAC Team
Both Fowler and Wideman earn Academic All-MAC honors for the second time. Cadel was named to the team in her first year of eligibility for the award.
Additionally, eight Falcons earned honorable mention to the team. That list includes seniors Alyssa Carmack, Ivi Casagrande and Kaitlyn Tobin, redshirt junior Kylie Briem, true juniors Ashley Garr and Sidney Huth and sophomores Emma Norris and Haley Parkinson.

The redshirt freshman had a goals-against average of 2.14 on the year, and recorded her first collegiate shutout in the Falcons' scoreless, double-overtime draw with Northern Illinois at Cochrane Field.
In the classroom, Cadel is a biology (pre-medicine) major, and had a cumulative grade-point average of 3.83 at the time of nomination.
Fowler, who hails from Grove City, Ohio, was a team co-captain for the second consecutive season in 2013. In her BGSU career, she played in a total of 74 matches for the Brown and Orange, making 61 starts. She had double-digit start totals in each of her four playing seasons after missing the entire 2009 campaign due to injury.

Wideman, a native of Troy, Mich., was one of three Falcons to start all 17 matches in 2013. She led the Falcons in scoring, with nine points on the year. Wideman led the team in assists, with three, and tied for the BG lead with three goals. Wideman, who was also named to the Academic All-Ohio Team, had 44 total shots and 17 shots on goal on the season, pacing the Falcons in both categories.
