Maineville, Ohio – Tuesday's final round of the Bearcat Classic hosted by the University of Cincinnati was washed out before the round could be completed. Teams were forced to battle rain and cold temperatures over each of the last two days and one final downpour caused standing water in several spots at the TPC River's Bend Course in Maineville, Ohio.

As a result of the cancellation of the final round, the final results reverted back to Monday's completed 18 holes of play.

With the ruling, the Falcons finished in fourth-place overall with a team score of 310, +22. BGSU finished only three strokes behind the eventual winner in host Cincinnati, who had a team-low round 307, +19, on Monday out of the 16-team field.

BGSU finished ahead of MAC foes Toledo (311), Ball State (317) and Ohio (319).

"Despite the weather we still got a chance to play a lot of golf at a TPC Venue and compete against some outstanding competition," commented head coach Stephanie Young. "We look forward to our final fall event at the Catawba Island Club."

With her first round 74, +2, Shelby Wilson finished in a tie for fourth-place overall, while Lily Bartell's round of 78, +6, put her in a tie for 22nd-place overall.

Junior Hannah Lewis and sophomore Mikayla Baer who both turned in a first round 79, +7, on Monday, placed in a tie for 31st-place overall, while sophomore Fran Rodriguez and senior Patricia Holt, who finished with rounds of 82, +10, and 85, +13, respectively, finished in a tie for 57th-place and 71st-place overall.

Bowling Green will be back in action next week, Oct. 13-14, when the Falcons will tee-off at the Rocket Classic held at the Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio.
