Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University forward Richaun Holmes was recognized by CollegeHoopsDaily.com as one of the top-five players in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) at the conclusion of the 2013-14 regular season.
Holmes was one of five players named to the CollegeHoopsDaily.com list of all-conference picks of the year.
The 6-8 junior led the Falcons in scoring (13.3 points per game), field goal percentage (50.7 percent), free throw percentage (70.6 percent) and was tied for the team lead in both total rebounds (245) and rebounding (7.7 rebounds per game).
Holmes also led the team with 88 blocked shots, which set a new BGSU single-season school record.
The All-MAC Third Team honoree had eight double-doubles and five 20+ point games on the season. He also became the Falcons' all-time career blocks leader, surpassing Otis Polk's previous school record of 159 career rejections during his time at BGSU. Holmes now has the record at 161 career swats.
