Fitzwater, Miller, Nocella Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball players Brett Fitzwater and Chris Miller, along with gymnast Alyssa Nocella.
Female Athlete of the Week
Alyssa Nocella, a sophomore from Gilbertsville, Pa., scored a team-best 39.050 in the all-around at No. 7 UCLA in a triangular with Utah State. Nocella posted at least a 9.700 on all four rotations, including a team-best 9.850 on the floor. She added a 9.775 on beam, a 9.725 on bars and a 9.700 on vault as the Falcons scored a 194.175, marking the seventh time this year the team has broken 194.000.

Male Athlete of the Week
Sophomore Brett Fitzwater, of Defiance, Ohio, and senior Chris Miller, of Batesville, Ind., combined to throw Bowling Green's first no-hitter since 1995 in a 7-0 win over Bucknell. Fitzwater earned the win by tossing the first 5.0 innings, striking out a career-best six batters. Miller capped off the victory by tossing the final three innings for the save, striking out two batters.Female Athlete of the Week
