Friday's UT match will be held at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club in Toledo. Saturday's BGSU-EMU dual will be held at the Chippewa Racquet Club.
The Falcons enter the weekend with an overall record of 6-4, and BGSU is 1-0 in MAC play after a 4-3, come-from-behind victory over Western Michigan University on Saturday (March 22) at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. BG won the doubles point, then saw the first three singles matches that finished go the Broncos' way. But, the Falcons rallied to win each of the final three singles contests, capped by a marathon victory by sophomore Katie Brozovich.
Senior co-captains Nikki Chiricosta and Emily Reuland also posted singles wins vs. Western, while Brozovich and Chiricosta teamed up for a doubles victory as well. The duo of freshmen Hannah Drayton and Harley Hutchison also captured a doubles win against the Broncos.
Chiricosta broke two school records in Saturday's match. The Avon Lake, Ohio, native now has 90 singles wins and 180 combined career victories as a Falcon to sit atop both BGSU lists. In each case, she broke a record originally set by her sister, Christine (2008-11). Nikki Chiricosta has 90 doubles victories to rank second on that list, seven behind record-holder Maddy Eccleston (2010-13).
Reuland is ranked among the top-five Falcons on all three lists as well. She is fourth in total wins at BGSU, with 158. Reuland is tied for third on the singles wins list, with 81, and her total of 77 doubles victories places her fifth in BG history.
On the season, Chiricosta leads the Falcons with 31 overall wins, while Brozovich has 28 and Reuland 24. All three players have 13 singles wins this season to tie for the team lead, while Chiricosta paces the team in doubles victories. She is 18-7 in doubles play this season, including a 14-5 record when competing with Brozovich. Brozovich has an overall doubles mark of 15-7 this season to date.
Drayton and Hutchison each have 17 overall wins this year to date, while sophomore Drew Fills has won 16 matches. Freshman Brittany Plaszewski currently has seven wins in her initial season with the Falcons.
In her young career, Brozovich now has a singles record of 28-4 in dual-match play. She is 8-2 at the third flight this year after spending time at the fourth (10-1), fifth (2-0) and sixth (8-1) flights last spring.

Toledo enters Friday's match with a 10-4 record, and the Rockets are 1-1 in MAC play. UT has won seven of eight matches, including a 5-2 win over Akron in last weekend's conference opener, but the Blue and Gold dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to Buffalo the following day.
Eastern Michigan has a record of 9-6, and the Eagles take a perfect 2-0 MAC record into a Friday match vs. Western Michigan. Last weekend, Eastern went on the road and came away with wins over UB (4-3) and UA (6-1). The Eagles are 4-0 in home matches this season, heading into this weekend's action.
BGSU holds a 26-16 lead over Toledo in the all-time series between the teams, and the Falcons have won the last four meetings. Last season, the Brown and Orange picked up a 6-1 win over the Rockets at the Perrysburg Tennis Center (March 22, 2013). The team's last road match vs. UT resulted in a 4-3 BG victory two years ago (April 21, 2012).
The Falcons trail EMU, 29-13, in that series, and the Eagles won the most recent meeting. Eastern captured last year's regular-season matchup, 4-3, at the PTC (March 23, 2013). BG's last trip to Ypsilanti resulted in a 4-3 EMU win as well (April 20, 2012), but the Falcons posted a 4-0 win exactly one week later in the quarterfinal round of the MAC Championships. Six of the teams' last seven regular-season matchups have ended with a 4-3 score.
Following this weekend's matches, the Falcons will return to Northwest Ohio for a season-long four-match homestand. BGSU will face Northern Illinois next Friday (April 4), before stepping outside of conference play for a match against Chicago State the following day. The homestand also includes matches vs. Akron (April 11) and Buffalo (April 12).
