Two Falcons in the Top-15 After 36-Holes at MAC Championships

and Jose Narro finished day one tied for 30th-place overall, as each was consistent over the two rounds of play. Cooper posted a first round 75, +3, and a second round 77, +5, en route to his 36-hole score of 152, +8, while Narro shot back-to-back rounds of 76, +4, to record his combined score of 152, +8. Both Cooper and Narro also tallied three birdies overall, while Cooper recorded an eagle on hole-4 over his second round.
Rounding out the scoring for the Falcons was junior Ryan Triller who finished with rounds of 76, +4, and 77, +5, to place in a tie for 33rd overall with his combined two-round score of 153, +9. Triller totaled five birdies over his 36-holes of play on Friday.
Kent State leads after day one, as the Golden Flashes posted rounds of 286 and 284 to post a combined 36-hole team score of 570, -6 under par. Kent State is five strokes ahead of second-place Akron (575, -1) and nine strokes ahead of third-place Toledo (579, +3).
Kent State's Corey Conners and Akron's Charlie Bull are both tied atop of the individual leaderboard with scores of 139, -5 under par, two shots in front of Taylor Pendrith of Kent State and Otto Black of Toledo who are tied for third with 36-hole scores of 141, -3 under par.
The third round of play will tee-off at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The final round of play is set for 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
