The Falcons took part in the Kay Yow Fund "Cold Water Challenge"
Members of the Bowling Green State University women's basketball program were able to combine two of America's favorite pastimes -- cooling off on a hot summer day, and raising money for charity. The Falcons' coaching staff, along with senior Jasmine Matthews, helped raise money by taking part in the #Chillin4Charity "Cold Water Challenge," a fundraiser for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.Head coach Jennifer Roos, assistant coaches Jesse Fleming, Jacey Brooks and Sahar Nusseibeh, and Matthews all were challenged by other coaches and student-athletes around the nation. Players and coaches who take part in the "Cold Water Challenge" then pass the challenge along to their peers, who have 48 hours to accept the challenge and suffer the same fate. According to the rules, the coaches who accept the challenge donate $50 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Those who do not accept the challenge, according to the rules, donate $250 to the cause.
