USTFCCCA Releases Preseason Cross Country Polls

The Bowling Green State University women's cross country team is ranked No. 15 in the Great Lakes Region preseason poll, conducted by the United States Track and Field Cross and Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This is the team's first regional ranking of the four-year Lou Snelling era.

Michigan has won the last three regional championships and is again ranked as the preseason favorite for the 2014 season. BGSU is one of five MAC schools ranked in the top 15. Toledo leads the MAC rankings at No. 5, followed by No. 9 Miami (Ohio), No. 10 Central Michigan and No. 13 Eastern Michigan.

The Falcons start their season Friday at 5:45 pm at Pearson Park for the Toledo Invitational. Eastern Michigan and Toledo will be the other teams competing in the season opener.
