Softball Announces 2014 Fall Dates

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Ninth year head coach Shannon Salsburg has announced the dates and locations for the Bowling Green State University softball program's 2014 fall schedule.
Coach Salsburg and the Falcons will open fall ball with a doubleheader at Meserve Field against Owens Community College on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m.
The Orange and Brown will then travel to Columbus on Sunday, Oct. 5 to compete in the 14th-annual Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic. The event, which raises money for the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, has raised over $185,000 across the past 13 years. The 20-team field features 17 Ohio-based schools.
Bowling Green will begin the invite with a 9:30 a.m. first pitch against Wright State, before taking on host Ohio State at 11:45 a.m. Both ballgames will be played at Beekman Park.
The Falcons will conclude their fall schedule on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Meserve Field when they play a doubleheader at 11 a.m. with University of Findlay.
Salsburg returns two Falcons to the 2015 squad that earned All-MAC honors last season, as Chelsea Raker and Aspen Searle were named to the All-Freshman team, while Raker was also tabbed second team All-MAC.
