Official MAC Player of the Week Release
Cleveland, Ohio – On the heels of the Bowling Green State University women's soccer 8-0 blowout win of Chicago State on Sunday night, senior forward Sidney Huth was named the MAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer on Monday by the conference office.
Huth, who played in both contests for the Falcons last week, had a career night in the Falcons 8-0 win over Chicago State on Sunday, as the forward tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Huth, who played a part in four straight goals for the Falcons in just a little over a 15 minute span, assisted on the second goal of the match, scored the third, aided in the fourth and converted the fifth in the rout of the Cougars.
Huth's two helpers were both on goals that were career firsts for her teammates.
The win over IUPUI in 2012 was also the last time the Falcons scored multiple goals as a team in a contest prior to the eight goals scored on Sunday at Chicago State and Huth had two goals of her own in the win.
BGSU will return to the pitch this Sunday, Sept. 14, as the Falcons will host Detroit at 1 p.m. at Cochrane Stadium.

On Sept. 7, Manso found the back of the net to give Ohio the 2-0 lead in the 77th minute as the ball bounced around in front of the net before Manso cleaned it up.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jackie Hall, Buffalo, Junior
Junior defender Jackie Hall was all over the field on Sunday night for UB as they defeated Niagara by the score of 2-0. Hall scored the game-winning marker, the first of her career, in the 61st minute as she snuck up from her center back position on a free kick and buried the ball in the back of the net. Earlier in the game, Hall had a diving header goal called back due to offsides on the Bulls. Defensively, Hall dominated the NU forwards, only allowing one shot to get through to her goalkeeper and blocking several other shot attempts.
