Rachel Walny Named MAC Runner Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio -- Bowling Green State University women's cross country runner Rachel Walny was named runner of the week today by the Mid-American Conference. This is the second time Walny has received this honor.
Walny finished first for the Falcons once again, placing 20th overall out of 311 runners at Pre-Nationals Saturday, with a personal best time of 20:28.1. The competition was fierce with all teams being regionally ranked. Walny was the top finisher among Mid-American Conference racers, defeating top runners from Western and Eastern Michigan.
BGSU cross country will next compete Oct. 31 at the MAC Championships in Akron, Ohio.
