Softball Falcons Offering Two November Clinics
October 26, 2015 | Softball
The Bowling Green State University softball team is offering a pair of clinics during the month of November. Head coach Sarah Willis and her staff will offer an Elite All-Skills Clinic for girls ages 14-18 on November 14, and a Youth All-Skills Clinic for girls ages 8-14 on November 21.

Â
Each of the one-day November clinics will run from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Perry Field House on the BGSU campus.
The Elite All Skills Clinic will be divided into two sessions. The first session will involve enhanced hitting techniques utilized by the BGSU softball student-athletes. Emphasis will be placed on advanced drill work and mental approach to the plate. Hitters will also learn how to take an in-depth look at the mental side of hitting, study keys to situational hitting, and learn approaches for different pitchers and pitches.
The defensive session will provide campers the opportunity to sharpen their defensive skills and to carry out game-specific strategies used at the NCAA Division-I level. Campers may choose from pitching, catching, infield, and/or outfield.
The Youth All Skills Clinic on Nov. 21 will focus on players' fundamental development of offensive and defensive skills. Defensively, an emphasis will be placed on proper throwing mechanics, fielding, and positional play. Offensively, the focus will be placed on the fundamental swing to enhance a hitter's power, balance, and vision.
For both camps, participants are asked to wear softball attire, and are required to provide their own equipment; batting helmet, indoor shoes, glove, etc. Please mark all equipment with your name.
Â
Coach Willis, her players and staff will be on hand to conduct all phases of both clinics, and all campers will receive a T-shirt.
