BGSU assistant coach attends professional development conference in Tampa
Bowling Green State University women's basketball assistant coach Sahar Nusseibeh recently attended the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) National Convention in Tampa, Fla.
"The NACWAA convention was an absolutely phenomenal experience," said Nusseibeh, who is in her third season on the staff at BGSU. "I learned about collegiate athletics from a more holistic approach, gaining a much better understating of the administrative perspective & approach to issues. More importantly, I listened to extremely powerful messages from some of the most accomplished women in leadership positions that range far beyond collegiate administration."
The NACWAA National Convention is the premier leadership summit for women working in intercollegiate athletics. Attended by athletics directors, conference commissioners, coaches, senior woman administrators and professionals from all realms of the sports industry, this annual gathering provides three days of leadership training, networking and inspiration. The NACWAA National Convention is a great opportunity for women in athletics to gain valuable knowledge and experience the best professional development opportunities that are offered.
"I left Tampa feeling reinvigorated and even more excited about my future in coaching," said Nusseibeh. "Thanks to my experience at NACWAA 2015, I feel more empowered than ever before...a tremendous opportunity that I am so thankful for."
