Willis and the Falcons have also announced that the Youth All-Skills Clinic, originally scheduled for the following weekend (Nov. 21), has been cancelled.
The Elite All Skills Clinic will be divided into two sessions. The first session will involve enhanced hitting techniques utilized by the BGSU softball student-athletes. Emphasis will be placed on advanced drill work and mental approach to the plate. Hitters will also learn how to take an in-depth look at the mental side of hitting, study keys to situational hitting, and learn approaches for different pitchers and pitches.
The defensive session will provide campers the opportunity to sharpen their defensive skills and to carry out game-specific strategies used at the NCAA Division-I level. Campers may choose from pitching, catching, infield, and/or outfield.
Participants are asked to wear softball attire, and are required to provide their own equipment; batting helmet, indoor shoes, glove, etc. Please mark all equipment with your name.
Â
Coach Willis, her players and staff will be on hand to conduct all phases of the clinic, and all campers will receive a T-shirt.
