Falcons Tabbed To Finish Fourth In MAC

Cleveland, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team was picked to finish fourth in the Mid-American Conference in 2016 as voted on by the league's head coaches. The conference announced the preseason poll Wednesday (Dec. 23) afternoon.
Central Michigan was selected to win the conference, while 2015 tournament winners Kent State were chosen second. Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green followed, with Northern Illinois and Western Michigan tying for fifth and Ball State rounding out the conference.
The Orange and Brown were picked to tie for second place last season and third place in 2014. The Falcons – who placed fifth at last season's MAC Championships – secured two wins over the Big Ten across one season for the first time since 2002 last year, defeating Michigan State twice.
The 2016 MAC Gymnastics Championships will be held at Ball State University on March 19.
Bowling Green officially opens the gymnastics regular season on Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. in Tempe, Ariz. against Arizona State and the University of Nebraska.
