Greene, Nolan Named Vito's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Travis Greene and track and field jumper Jade Nolan.

Male Athlete of the Week
Travis Greene, a redshirt senior from Carol City, Fla., was named MAC Championship Game MVP following the Falcons 34-14 win over Northern Illinois in Friday night's MAC Championship Game. Greene rushed for a career-high 183 yards and two touchdowns as the Falcons won their second MAC Championship in the last three years and 12th in school history. Greene also added three receptions.

Female Athlete of the Week
Jade Nolan, a freshman from Milwaukee, Wisc., won the long jump at the GVSU Holiday Open in her first collegiate meet and placed fifth in the triple jump. Nolan leaped 19-feet-6 in the long jump for the third best performance in the event in school history. That distance came in her first ever collegiate jump. Her triple jump mark of 37-10.75 is just outside the top five all-time in program history.
