Baseball Selected Fourth In Preseason Coaches' Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio—The Mid-American Conference preseason Coaches' Poll was released by the conference office on Wednesday (Feb. 11) morning, in advance of opening day of the 2015 baseball season on Friday (Feb. 13). Bowling Green received one first place vote to win the East Division, receiving 38 total votes. Kent State was picked to win the East with eight first place votes, while Ball State was selected to win the West Division.
The Falcons open the season this weekend when they travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo. for a showdown with the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri. BGSU and SEMO will play two games on Friday afternoon at Capaha Field. BGSU finished the 2014 season with 25 wins to finish third in the MAC East a season ago, earning the fifth seed in the MAC Tournament.
Bowling Green was picked fourth overall in the MAC East Division and received one first place vote to win the MAC Tournament. The Falcons have just five seniors and seven juniors on the roster, while welcoming 14 newcomers to the fold.
