Carey, Sinclair Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week
April 13, 2015 | Baseball, General, Women's Track and Field
Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Zac Carey and track and field sprinter Brittany Sinclair.

Male Athlete of the Week
Zac Carey, a freshman from London, Ohio, pitched a career-high 8.0 innings in Sunday's series-clinching 11-1 win over Ohio on the road. He took a shutout into the ninth inning before surrendering two hits and giving way to the bullpen. Carey struck out three batters and allowed just two hits through the first eight innings, while also inducing three inning-ending double plays. It was his second win of the season and third straight game that the Falcons have won in which he started.
Female Athlete of the Week
Brittany Sinclair, a redshirt senior from Lindenwold, N.J., shattered her career-best time in the 400 hurdles and ran the fastest time in the Mid-American Conference this year, posting a 59.77. It is the second-fastest time in BGSU history and just .03 seconds off the school record, which has stood for 23 years. Sinclair also helped BGSU's 400 relay team to place fourth at the Tennessee Relays with a time of 46.22 seconds, the second-fastest time in school history. That time ranks third in the MAC this year.
