Bowling Green, Ohio – The Falcons will tee-off in their second tournament in just seven days this weekend, as BGSU will take part in the 2015 Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pennsylvania on April 18-19.
The two-day event will be played at the par 71, 7,202-yards renovated Blue Course, which hosted the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship in 2009 and has hosted numerous events conducted by the USGA, FCWT, AJGA, IJGT, PGA Junior Series and the West Penn Golf Association.
The 12 team field includes Penn State, George Washington, St. Joseph's, Georgetown, Eastern Michigan, Canisius, St. Bonaventure, Bowling Green, Rutgers, Binghamton, Youngstown State and Cleveland State.
Head Coach Kevin Farrell will send out the same lineup - Jose Narro, Brett Rinker, Joe Cooper, Ryan Triller and Cameron Michalak – that he did for the Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational earlier this week.
At the rain shortened Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational event on Monday, April 13, Narro posted back-to-back rounds of 73, +3, to end up in a tie for 26th-place overall with a 36-hole score of 146, +6. In fact, the senior has posted a stroke average of 73.90 over his 10 rounds of play during the spring season, including a low round 70 at the Barona Collegiate Cup in February. At the 2014 Rutherford Intercollegiate, the lefty ended in a tie for 24th-place overall with rounds of 73, 71 and 77 for a combined three-round score of 221, +8.
