Falcons Sign Jip van Haaster

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's soccer program and head coach Lindsay Basalyga is thrilled to announce the addition of Jip van Haaster (De Lier, Netherlands) to the Falcons' women's soccer program and the 2015 signing class for BGSU.

ip is a fantastic addition to our already strong 2015 recruiting class. She has competed at the highest level for her country, with the Dutch Youth National Team, and brings a skill set that will complement our current strengths, while raising the bar in other areas," commented Coach Basalyga. "Jip will look to compete for playing time immediately in a central midfield role."
A midfielder from De Lier, Netherlands, van Haaster has played for the Netherlands National Team at the UEFA U19 Women's Championship and the UEFA U17 Women's Championship. She currently plays for the ADO Deen Haag in the BeNe League after playing two years for the Ajax.
Haaster, who attends Calandlyceum and plans to major in business at BGSU, will join the 2015 signing class of Morgan Abbitt (Fort Collins, Colorado/Rocky Mountain H.S.), Abbie Bacon (Toledo, Ohio/Sylvania Northview H.S.), Laura Bozzelli (Mississauga, Ontario/Lorne Park Secondary School), Victoria Cope (Windsor, Ontario/Assumption College Catholic H.S.), Alexis Fricke (Kentwood, Michigan/East Kenwood H.S.), Juli Knapp (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit H.S.), Sophia Moreau (Naperville, Illinois/Neuqua Valley H.S.), Alex Prout (Grand Haven, Michigan/Spring Lake H.S.) and Morgann Williams (Fort Wayne, Indiana/Homestead H.S.) that will all continue both their academic and athletic careers at BGSU come Fall 2015.
