Bowling Green's Richaun Holmes Invited to the 2015 NBA Draft Combine

Bowling Green, Ohio - Richaun Holmes has received an invitation to participate in the 2015 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, Illinois next week. The NBA released its official NBA Draft combine list on Thursday afternoon.

The invite only NBA Draft Combine is a showcase where players are able to put their basketball skills on display in front of league personnel, as well as under go a number of medical tests, speed and conditioning drills, and interviews.

The event will begin on Tuesday, May 12.

Around 60 players in consideration for the NBA Draft usually attend the combine each year prior to the draft.

The 2015 NBA Draft will be held on June 25 in New York City and will be televised on ESPN.

Holmes, who was most recently named to the 2015 Portsmouth Invitational All-Tournament Team where he averaged 14.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 blocks and 2.0 steals per game at the invite only event in front of numerous NBA scouts and coaches in April, is coming off a senior season in which he was tabbed the MAC Defensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-MAC First-Team.

Bowling Green's all-time career blocks leader (244) and the only player in BGSU men's basketball history to post 1,000 career points, 600 career rebounds and 200 career blocks, Holmes led the Falcons in scoring (14.7 pts/game), rebounding (8.0 rebs/game), blocks (2.7 blks/game), minutes (28.8 mins./game) and field goal percentage (56.3 percent) last year as a senior in which the Falcons went 21-12 overall and earned a postseason bid in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT).
