The Charleston-based company becomes the new social media software provider for the BGSU Athletics Department, offering cutting edge and innovative solutions to engage fans
Charleston, SC - July 27, 2015- Snapcastr, a startup creating innovative social media platforms for large events, and Bowling Green State University, one of the top public universities nationwide, have signed a deal to implement Snapcastr's live social media walls for the 2015-2016 sports season. This is the first year BGSU has decided to deploy a large-scale social media platform and Snapcastr was chosen over its competitors.Â
BGSU is a community-based college town that prides itself as a forward-thinking university; one that thrives on new ground-breaking tools that can help keep its students at the forefront of technology. By implementing Snapcastr's robust social media platform into its sporting events - football and men's and women's basketball - BGSU is leading the path of tech-savvy universities.Â
"We are excited to be working with Snapcastr to help enhance the in-game experience for all Falcon fans, "said Maurice Richardson, Multimedia Production Coordinator for BGSU Athletics. "This is the right step for the university and our athletics department because our fans are a top priority and this service will only enhance the value they receive by attending our home sporting events. Our entire external team knew that making Snapcastr a part of our sporting events would enhance the game-day experience for our fans and help improve our fan engagement in order to better support our student athletes."Â
More and more colleges and universities are adopting similar practices when it comes to innovation. In order to keep up with the ever-changing and fast-paced world of technology, they rely on companies like Snapcastr to implement strategies to achieve goals, such as connecting their students with the in-game experience, creating awareness of large events, and building a community between students, staff, and other fans.Â
"We are so thrilled to work with the BGSU Athletics department, " said Brian Tice, CEO for Snapcastr. "Colleges and Universities really benefit from the tools within Snapcastr and it's an excellent and inventive way to connect the students, visitors, and faculty at various sporting events; it really is a win-win-win situation for all parties involved. I know this season is going to be a good one for both Snapcastr and BGSU."
Snapcastr is quickly becoming the go-to social media solution for college-level sports teams throughout the nation.
