Lake Erie/Grand Rapids Bringing The AHL To The BGSU Ice Arena

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University is set to host an American Hockey League (AHL) exhibition game between the Lake Erie Monsters and the Grand Rapids Griffins Friday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 pm at the BGSU Ice Arena. Lake Erie is a new affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets, while Grand Rapids is an affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings.
General admission tickets begin at $10 ($5 for youth ages 12 and under), with bench reserved tickets selling for $15 and chair back reserved for $25. The first and second row are also $25. Tickets go on sale Monday at 9 am and all fans who purchase a ticket to the contest can bring their ticket stub the next day to see BGSU's exhibition game for free.

This contest will be the first game in which Lake Erie competes as a Blue Jackets' affiliate and will be the perfect opportunity for fans of both organizations to see their teams' stars of tomorrow before they make the jump to the NHL.
BGSU Hockey will be playing in its exhibition game the following day. Fans who purchase a ticket to the AHL game can bring their ticket stub and get into BGSU's exhibition game the next day for free. The Falcons were ranked as high as No. 6 in the country in the 2014-15 season, and the exhibition will be a great opportunity for fans to come out and see what the Falcons have in store for this upcoming season.
