Women's Cross Country Ranked No. 12 In Great Lakes Region

The Bowling Green State University women's cross country team is ranked No. 12 in the Great Lakes Region preseason poll, conducted by the United States Track and Field Cross and Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This is the highest regional ranking for the Falcons under head coach Lou Snelling.
BGSU is one of the six MAC schools ranked in the poll. Eastern Michigan leads the poll at No. 7, followed by No. 9 Toledo, No. 13 Miami (Ohio), No. 14 Central Michigan and No. 15 Western Michigan.
The teams open their season Friday, Sept. 4 at home with the annual Mel Brodt Collegiate Open against Toledo and Cleveland State. The men begin the 5,000-meter race at 6:30 pm and the women will race the same distance at 7 pm.
