Golfers participate in annual event at Forrest Creason
The Bowling Green State University women's basketball program's annual golf outing took place on Sunday, Sept. 20, and the 2015 event, as in previous years, could be categorized as nothing but an unqualified success.

The golf outing was held at Forrest Creason Golf Course, while the evening social was held at the Stroh Center. Approximately 150 people took part in the day's events.
"Our fans continue to impress me with their tremendous support of our program," said Falcon head coach Jennifer Roos. "I want to personally thank the Falcon fans and members of the community who took part in the golf outing and/or the social. Our fans are a big part of what makes BGSU such a special place."
The golfers were treated to 18 holes of golf, plus a number of amenities including greens fees and cart, hot dogs and beverages on the court, contest holes with prizes and auction items. The social also included comments from Coach Roos and the announcement of the winners from the golf portion of the festivities.
Three winning teams -- a men's team, a women's team and a mixed group -- were recognized. The women's foursome included Joyce Peters, Lynne Murnan, April Costin and Cheryl Simpson.
The mixed division winners were Chris Burch, Dianne Burch, David Burch and Jerid Friar, and the winning team in the men's division included Steve Myers, Rick Denny and Mark Denny.
Next year's event will be held at Forrest Creason on a date to be determined.
The women's basketball team opens the 2015-16 season on Nov. 13, hosting Illinois State at the Stroh Center. The opening weekend continues with another home game two days later, as Bradley comes to the Stroh on Sunday, Nov. 15. Falcon fans can get their first look at the team the previous weekend, when BG faces Ashland in a 4:00 p.m. exhibition on Saturday, Nov. 7. Tickets for all of this season's action are available now.
